Sanitize Your Home Against Covid-19

The need to sanitize your home, workspace or even vehicle is greater these days. Covid-19 has proven itself to spread quickly and be highly contagious. Not everyone has the knowledge or training of a professional, but satisfactory results are possible. The process requires attention to detail and diligence, but is rather straightforward. Let’s begin with the supplies you will need:

• EPA approved disinfectant
• Surgical gloves
• Eye protection
• Face Mask

Prepare Surfaces To Be Disinfected Or Sanitized

It is important for a surface to be exposed for disinfection, thus you must do a general cleaning. This means scrubbing stoves, counters, and tables free of grime. Once you have completed your general cleaning, it’s time to begin the real work.

The most important item of any plumbing fixture to sanitize is the handle.

Start by spraying all surfaces with your selected disinfectant. Be sure you let the chemical dwell due to most viruses not dying for several minutes. Bleach based disinfectants have a fast kill rate, usually under a minute. Of course you shouldn’t spray all surfaces with bleach which can damage some surfaces. There’s no need to completely dry all surfaces except wood as this will extend kill time.
